Thank A Coach!
People rarely see how much time, effort, money and heart coaches devote to their teams. They spent countless hours doing things to make sure you look good and receive the credit. Their only goal is to make you better than what you started with and what you believed was possible. Through all the yelling, kicking and screaming, each coach builds a bond with a team that very few can understand. Coaches have to wear many different hats to maximize the ability of the team. One day they may be a counselor, another day a disciplinary officer, medic, secretary, and motivational speaker. Often that can all happen during one practice. Sometime throughout the month of November, I encourage athletes to take a moment and tell your current or a previous coach something that you would like to thank them for. Big or small the coach will appreciate it all.
